All 9-1-1 calls in Lawrence County are directed to the dispatchers at the Lawrence County 9-1-1 dispatch center in Ironton, Ohio. Once the call taker gets the information they immediately dispatch the necessary EMS and fire units to the scene on the county’s VHF radio system.
